Job Details

• The Social Worker works with the psychiatrist and interdisciplinary team in developing and managing treatment plans.
• Serves as liaison in relation to patient care and needs, between the hospital, community, and insurers to facilitate access to clinical treatment for individuals.
• Provides social services to both adult and child/adolescent patients.
• Services include but are not limited to bio-psychosocial assessments, discharge planning, individual and family education and group.
• Therapy Social Workers provides individual, conjoint, group and family psychotherapy; in addition to crisis intervention services, as needed.
• Ensures that the quality of care is safe, effective, patient centered timely, efficient and equitable.
• Social workers also serve on designated committees and as qualified, may serve as field instructors for social work.

Job Requirements

• Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective social work care plans.
• Ability to perform a wide variety of professional social work services.
• Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and hospital personnel.
