About the Role: Deals Desk Analyst Core functions: Risk Management & Reporting, Product Control, and Management Reporting. Risk Management: measuring, verifying, reporting, and mitigating risks from physical and derivative natural gas business. Product Control: validating the accuracy and legitimacy of accounting and financial reporting for P&L arising from the business. Management Reporting: performance analysis with historic comparisons and market analysis. Key Responsibilities Product‑level management and reporting of risk, exposures, and P&L from physical and derivative natural gas trading strategies. Analyse performance of the business through positions, profit and loss, and volume, reporting to the Product Head and senior management. Produce comprehensive lookback analysis of trading strategies, integrating key risk metrics with historical performance reviews. Collaborate with Credit, Tax, Accounting, and Scheduling to ensure accurate, daily reporting. Lead User Acceptance Testing with IT to improve proprietary trading and risk management systems, ensuring correct basis risk, volumetric positions, hedge actions, and allocation of executions. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities At least 4 years of experience in physical & derivative natural gas markets, including underlying structures and instruments. Comprehensive understanding of trading models, strategies and associated exposures. Cross‑product or multiple-region experience is beneficial. Expertise in trading and risk management systems, preferably Allegro/Horizon. Advanced Excel skills. Preferred advanced Python / SQL coding skills. Strong work ethic, organizational skills, and excellent communication. Ability to multitask.
