Job Description

The Quality Supervisor is a crucial role responsible for maintaining and enhancing the quality and compliance of our operations. This position oversees and performs key duties to ensure adherence to supplier, customer, and internal quality standards. The Quality Supervisor supports the tracking, trending, and resolution of quality-related issues, including customer complaints and supplier/production quality control issues. This role involves analyzing quality data, generating clear and actionable reports, supervising QA Technicians, Manage Plastipak Quality standard to ensure compliance with food safety regulations, and managing internal and external audits. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of quality assurance principles, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for continuous improvement in a food manufacturing environment.

You Will

• Manage, mentor, and develop a team of QA Technicians and Leads to ensure effective execution of quality control procedures.
• Delegate tasks, set performance expectations, and provide regular feedback to team members.
• Oversee and ensure that all HACCP, GMPs, SOPs, and quality checks are conducted as required by the Plastipak Quality Management System.
• Manage the quality control audit process to ensure ongoing regulatory and quality compliance.
• Identify training needs and develop training materials as necessary.
• Manage and maintain in-house programs and procedures for internal and external audits.

You Have

• High school diploma or GED.
• Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Quality Management, or a related field is preferred.
• 3+ years of quality assurance experience in a food manufacturing/distribution environment.
• 2+ years of supervisory experience in a quality role.
• Strong understanding of HACCP, GMPs, ISO, SOPs, and food safety standards and regulations
• Able to work alternate schedules (hours) based on business needs
