Job Description

Valley Medical Group, an independent, primary care focused multi-specialty organization is seeking an occupational therapist with certification or interest in hand therapy to work part time in our Amherst office. The ideal candidate should be comfortable with post ops, splinting, primarily orthopedic/neuromusculoskelatal disorders, and be confident treating shoulders to hands.



About the position:
• Outpatient only with a flexible schedule, 16 hours per week in Amherst
• Primarily treat patients with hand, arm and shoulder disorders

• Provide consultations to primary care and other medical staff related to physical therapy care
• Participate in practice wide health care initiatives such as smoking cessation and chronic pain management
• Treat young adults to geriatrics



About you:
• 2 years' experience working as a hand therapist
• Graduate of an accredited OT (OTD) program and ideally be a CHT (certified hand therapist).
• Licensure in Massachusetts
• DPT, national specialization or advanced clinical skills are preferred
• Experience in orthopedics strongly preferred
• Ability to work independently while being part of a team
• Capacity to deliver care via telehealth
