Garden State Security Group is seeking a reliable and skilled Fire & Security Alarm Technician / Installer to join our team. This role requires the ability to work independently in the field while collaborating with the team as needed.

What You’ll Do

• Install, program, service, and troubleshoot:
• • Burglar and fire alarm systems
  • CCTV/video surveillance systems
  • Access control and related equipment
• Diagnose and resolve system issues using proper test equipment and troubleshooting methods
• Perform repairs, part replacements, and system upgrades
• Complete scheduled service, maintenance, and occasional emergency/after-hours calls
• Maintain clean and organized work sites and company vehicle
• Communicate professionally with customers and provide excellent service
• Follow all company safety procedures and guidelines
• Assist on larger projects when needed (no supervisory duties)
• Other job-related tasks as assigned
• Required Skills & Experience

What We are Looking for

Hands-on field experience installing and programming the following systems (or comparable) is required:

• Alarm.com, Napco, Honeywell, 2GIG, Qolsys, FireLite, Silent Knight, DSC, Turing, PDK, Hikvision, LTS.
• Technical experience with fire alarm and/or electronic security systems
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
• Mechanical/electrical aptitude; proficiency with hand and power tools
• Professional communication and customer-service skills
• Valid driver’s license with a clean record
• Ability to lift 40 lbs, climb ladders, and work in various environments
• Ability to keep a clean work area and vehicle
• Must provide basic hand tools (power tools provided)
• Dependability, punctuality, and good time-management
