- Protecting CUI/FCI through standard runbooks, control monitoring, and evidence capture embedded in our tooling and delivery.
- Shortening timetoreadiness for assessments while maintaining continuous compliance (not pointintime).
- Enabling primes and subcontractors across the DIB with rightsized offerings that scale from advisory to fully managed compliance.
Were hiring a missiondriven, handson COO to lead endtoend service delivery, transform operations, and scale our CMMCcentric offerings for the DIB. You blend deep Microsoft consulting expertise with MSP/professionalservices leadership and a track record of operationalizing compliance at scale.
What Youll Do
- DIB/CMMC mission leadership

- Translate CMMC/NIST controls into standardized delivery (runbooks, OLAs/SLAs, control owners, monitoring, reporting).
- Drive platformled compliance: integrate evidence and control checks into RMM/PSA, Microsoft security tooling, and automation.
- Service operations & delivery
- Lead Managed Services, Professional Services/Project Delivery, Customer Success Teams, and Operations.
- Implement and mature ITIL processes (incident/problem/change), KPI dashboards, and continuousimprovement cadences.
- Standardize Microsoftcentric offers (Azure, M365, GCC/GCCHigh, security) with clear scoping, pricing, and capacity models.
- Financial & growth ownership
- Own services P&L; improve utilization, forecasting, and gross margins.
- Align delivery capacity with pipeline; partner with Sales/Presales/Finance on pricing, SOW quality, and renewals.
- People & culture
- Build and coach a hightrust, compliancefirst delivery organization (Service Managers, PMs, Technical Leads, TAMs).
- Develop leaders; establish accountability and clarity of ownership for services and controls.
- Customer & partner engagement
- Act as executive sponsor for strategic DIB accounts; lead major escalations.
- Collaborate with primes, partners, and assessors to ensure smooth assessment and sustainment cycles.
What Success Looks Like (1218 Months)
- 100% evidence completeness for managed CMMC customers; 90% SLA attainment across services.
- Timetoauditready reduced by baseline percentage (set at start).
- Utilization and gross margin improved to targets while maintaining topquartile CSAT/NPS.
- Standardized CMMC service/product catalog with clear tiers and automation coverage.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology delivery; 5+ years senior operations leadership (VP/Head/COO) in an MSP or Microsoft partner environment.
- Deep, handson Microsoft expertise (Azure, Microsoft 365/Intune/Endpoint, Microsoft security stack); experience with GCC/GCCHigh or Azure Government strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated P&L ownership, capacity planning, utilization management, and margin optimization.
- Strong servicemanagement (ITIL) background; KPI design and operational cadence leadership.
- Understanding of MSP billing (PSA, Microsoft NCE) and automation platforms (RMM, API Integrators such as n8n, Rewst).
- Outstanding executive presence and escalation management with strategic customers.
Preferred
- Built or scaled a CMMCaligned managed service or compliance program.
- Proven CMMC experience delivering readiness, remediation, evidence management, and assessment preparation for DIB/DoD contractors.
- Experience with automation for compliance (evidence capture, monitoring, GRC tooling), RMM/PSA strategy, and runbook automation.
- Bachelors, MBA and/or relevant certifications (e.g., CMMC practitioner/assessor training, CISSP) preferred.
Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive executive compensation (base + performance bonus + potential equity).
- Comprehensive benefits (medical, retirement, PTO, professional development).
