Position Summary:

Landmark Excavating is seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Water Truck Driver to support our heavy civil construction operations. The primary responsibility of this role is to operate a water truck to control dust and support compaction efforts on job sites. The ideal candidate will be dependable, safety-minded, and experienced with operating in active construction environments.

• Operate a water truck to distribute water over roads, trenches, and other surfaces as directed
• Maintain proper water levels in assigned areas to support dust control and soil compaction
• Inspect truck equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, fuel, oil, and water levels
• Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections in compliance with DOT and company safety standards
• Safely navigate and operate on active construction sites, including around equipment and personnel
• Communicate with site supervisors and equipment operators to ensure proper coverage and job site needs
• Keep truck clean, fueled, and in good operating condition
• Complete required paperwork and log entries accurately and on time
• Follow all OSHA, DOT, and company safety policies and procedures

• Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with tanker endorsement (preferred)
• Minimum 1 year of commercial driving experience , preferably in construction or off-road environments
• Clean driving record and current DOT medical card
• Familiarity with operating water trucks and understanding of dust control practices
• Ability to work in all weather conditions and navigate rough terrain
• Strong communication skills and a teamwork-oriented mindset
• Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screening

• Ability to sit for long periods while operating vehicle
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
• Must be able to climb in and out of truck cab multiple times per day
• Capable of working in outdoor conditions including heat, dust, and noise
