\n\nTravel or Local Allied Healthcare Professional needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.
\n\nOpportunity:
\nRadiation Therapist - Radiation Therapist
\n\nJob Details:
\n• Work Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
\n• Administer radiation therapy as prescribed by Radiation Oncologist
\n• Position patients properly for accurate delivery of radiation treatment using immobilization devices
\n• Perform daily warm-up of treatment machines and enter information in logbooks
\n• Check simulator for proper operation and report any issues
\n• Conduct patient simulations and produce acceptable radiographs
\n• Maintain audio and visual contact with patients at all times
\n• Explain treatment procedures and potential adverse reactions to patients
\n• Schedule patients for daily treatments and maintain treatment marks
\n• Perform portal localization films weekly or as prescribed
\n• Complete weekly chart checks to ensure prescription compliance
\n• Maintain treatment and simulation rooms in neat, orderly condition
\n• Transport hospital patients to department and assist as necessary
\n• Interact with patients of all age groups from newborns through geriatrics
\n• Must have ARRT certification and BLS certification through American Heart Association
\n• Must have experience using Elekta equipment
\n• Strong interpersonal communication skills required
\n• Attend all required hospital and departmental inservice programs
