Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate Ultrasound Tech - Ultrasound Tech to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 5x8 Days at a leading Hospital in Wilmington, NC. Key Responsibilities:
• Perform OB/GYN ultrasounds for approximately 10 patients per day in an outpatient clinic setting
• Conduct GYN scans, dating/viability scans, anatomy scans, growth assessments, NT (nuchal translucency), and BPP (biophysical profile) examinations
• Perform transabdominal (TA) and transvaginal (TV) ultrasounds for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd trimester patients
• Operate specialized ultrasound equipment including GE Expert 22, GE E8, and V-scan ProAir systems
• Document patient information and examination results using Epic charting system
• Maintain current ARDMS, BLS, and OB certifications
• Maintain valid state licensure (NC or Compact license)
• Complete 40 hours of unit orientation training
• Complete required pre-start and annual training modules (4-5 hours for non-acute roles)
• Work Monday through Friday, 8-hour shifts from 08:00 - 16:30
• Provide care for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient populations
• Work with a multidisciplinary team including 9 midwives and 4 MDs
• Maintain flexibility for schedule changes during orientation week
• Adhere to isolation precautions and infection control protocols
• Work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year)
• Complete compliance documentation and laboratory testing within required timeframes
• Provide supervisor references covering recent employment experience
