\nStartDate: ASAP \nAvailable Shifts: 12 N \nPay Rate: $2008.32 - $2213.25 \n
\nCLINICAL INTERVIEWING\n\nPatient Types:\nHigher level of telemetry patients\nPCI pre/post care, CHF, MI, DMII, GI, GU, ONC, Sepsis, Stroke, Neutropenia, COVID(higher level of oxygenation), PNA, AMS, TIA, AKI, Dehydrations, ETOH, Syncope, CKD, Afib with RVR, Dialysis, NSTEMI, Leukemia, Pulmonary Edema, Anemia, Shock, Chest pain, Hypoxia\nHigh volume of post-cath lab procedures – TR bands, stent placements (must be familiar with the procedure), fresh cath patients (no sheaths) requiring q15 min checks\nDo not take DKA – those patients go to ICU\nHigh Spanish-speaking population (30-50%)\nHigh volume of the underserved population – charity care – looking for compassionate caregivers\nPatient Ratios:\nDays: 1:4\n\nNights: 1:5\n\nRequired Certifications: BLS and ACLS required, ONS (Preferred)\nOncology experience is not required. Will be given Tele patients if no oncology experience.\nSkills required:\nTrach care, chest tube, TR band, Post Cath lab, Central line maintenance care, Bipap experience required, Hi-flow experience required, Reading/Interpreting/measuring Cardiac Rhythm strips required. Titratable drip experience required (diltiazem and heparin, nurse protocol based on lab values).\nSupport on the Unit:\nCNA: (Team Nursing)\nDays 1:6\nNights 1:8\nReceptionist/HUC\nCharge nurse/Staff coordinator – Typically does not take patient assignments, will help with\nOccasionally will have 1-2 patients if staffing needs\nPhlebotomy – days/nights\nIV/VAT Team until 2300\nHospitalist – 24/7\nTelemetry monitoring tech? Yes, on the unit. 2 central units. 32 patients per central unit. Sign off strips q 4 hours.\nTechnology/Equipment:\nEMR: EPIC\nIV pumps: Plum pumps\nMedication dispensing: Omnicell\nMonitors: Draeger\nFloating: If yes, where?\nAll other MS/tele units\nOrientation (#hrs/shifts):\nHospital Orientation\n2 - 12hr shifts on the unit depending on their contracted shifts\nScheduling:\nWeekend rotation: Every other weekend\nWeekend nights are Friday/Sat\nOn call? No\nHoliday Expectations: 1-2 Holidays per contract \nApproval of time off? Can we approve up to 7 days off on your behalf? Yes\nShift times: Days 7a-7p; Nights 7p-7a\nSchedule cycle: 4-week increments and will receive the schedule 4 weeks in advance\nOvertime is optional.\nOther notes:\nScrub Color: Any color\nParking: Free onsite parking\nCulture – Traveler friendly, very welcoming.
