Labor and Delivery Nurse

Location: New Jersey

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: Night Shift (3x12-Hour, 19:00 - 07:30)

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Labor and Delivery Nurse to join our team in a fast-paced environment. This position involves caring for patients during childbirth, monitoring fetal health, and providing postpartum care. The ideal candidate will have experience circulating C-sections and a strong foundation in women's health nursing.

Responsibilities

• Circulate C-sections and recover patients post-delivery.


• Provide care in the Labor and Delivery unit, adapting to varying patient acuity.


• Float to high risk Antepartum/Postpartum units and provide continuous or intermittent fetal monitoring as needed.


• Utilize electronic fetal monitoring (EFM) and chart patient data accurately.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience.


• Active New Jersey or Compact nursing license required at time of submission.


• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, AWHONN Intermediate level required, NCC C-EFM preferred.


• Experience with EPIC charting system is preferred.
