Systems Administrator / Database Administrator

Location: Wichita, KS

Pratt Industries USA is seeking a motivated and skilled Systems Administrator / Database Administrator to join our dynamic applications team in Wichita, KS. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional to play a critical role in managing and maintaining our core database and server infrastructure across the Pratt business system landscape.

What You'll Do (Main Responsibilities):

• Perform comprehensive database and server administration, configuration, and maintenance.
• Install, configure, and manage database servers, virtual servers, and various systems.
• Ensure the optimal performance, integrity, and security of all managed systems.
• Contribute to the strategic planning and execution of IT infrastructure initiatives.
• Server implementation
• OS install and upgrades
• Application install and upgrades
• Test system refresh
• Disaster recovery
• System break fix
• Script automation

Compensation and Benefits:

• Salary is competitive and dependent upon qualifications and experience.
• Some travel is required for this role.

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical work experience.
• Proficient knowledge of SQL.
• Demonstrated experience and competency with enterprise databases, specifically Oracle and/or MSSQL databases.
• Experience administering both Linux and Windows Server environments.
• Strong analytical and advanced problem-solving skills.

Preferred/Beneficial Experience:

• Experience with Virtual Server Environments.
• Knowledge of NAS/SAN Storage Environments.
• Proficiency in Linux/Windows Shell scripting.
• Familiarity with Sybase or PostGres database systems.
• Experience implementing and managing Disaster Recovery / High Availability solutions.
• Familiarity with Oracle PL/SQL.
• Fundamental understanding of WAN/LAN networking concepts.
