Job Description
We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in Hawaii. In this role, you will play a key part in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills and a commitment to delivering high-quality work in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
• Prepare and post journal entries to accurately reflect financial transactions.
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure accurate reporting.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including timely payment processing and collections.
• Handle accruals and assist with month-end close activities to meet reporting deadlines.
• Conduct bank account reconciliations to ensure proper cash flow management.
• Collaborate with team members to resolve discrepancies and improve financial processes.
• Support audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
• Generate financial reports and summaries for management review.
• Ensure compliance with accounting regulations and company policies.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Proven experience in accounting or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of journal entries and general ledger processes.
• Proficiency in managing accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Familiarity with accrual accounting and month-end close procedures.
• Experience with bank account reconciliations and financial reporting.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective communication skills for collaborating with team members and stakeholders.
This role requires a commute from time to time, often around Oahu, and potentially occasional schedule variety. Rarely will you work more than a 40 hour work week. It's a permanent position paid hourly, and paid weekly. Call us to learn more! 808-531-8056
