About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to join our clients team in Fort Lee, NJ. This full-time position is ideal for a professional with strong Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable experience who thrives in a fast-paced environment and values accuracy and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Accounts Receivable

  • Manage all tenant billings and collections promptly; resolve billing issues.

  • Run delinquency reports and follow up with tenants; provide monthly updates to executives by the 5th.

  • Perform periodic cash journal reconciliations to ensure alignment between cash management and SKYLINE.

  • Maintain tickler reports for critical dates and lease information.

  • Interpret and input leases and amendments into SKYLINE.

  • Maintain key reports including Cash Journal, Rent Roll, and Real Estate Tax Schedule.

  • Complete month-end closing procedures: reimbursement checks, management fees, and posting to the General Ledger.

  • Periodically true-up RETAX, CAM, and insurance for the current year.

Accounts Payable

  • Process invoices promptly; print checks and scan for recordkeeping.

  • Handle monthly mortgage payments and wire transfers for all entities.

  • Create POS PAY files for daily banking uploads to prevent fraud.

  • Process expenses for management personnel and drivers.

  • Complete month-end AP closing: reimbursement checks, expense distribution reports, management fees, and GL postings.

Additional Duties

  • Maintain organized records: scanning invoices/checks, filing, mail handling, UPS/FedEx coordination.

  • Year-End: process 1099s for all vendors (by 1/31), prepare 1096 for IRS, and send copies to NJ State with supporting documentation.

Pay Details: $55,000.00 to $60,000.00 per year
