  • Experience : 2+ years of RN experience required;  ED/pre-hospital preferred .

    Knowledge and Skills : Must demonstrate knowledge of patient care and appropriate interactions based on patient age

    Growth & Development : Understanding of principles of growth and development across the lifespan and ability to assess and interpret age-specific needs.

    Relationship Building : Ability to establish positive, caring relationships with executives, managers, physicians, support staff, and patients/families.

    Clinical Judgment : Strong critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills in patient care.

    Physical Requirements : Mobility, visual manual dexterity, and physical stamina for frequent walking, standing, lifting, and positioning patients.

    Flexible Shifts : UPMC offers flexible shift options, including night and weekend shifts with premium pay.   • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) w/in 1 year of hire

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
  • \n
  • Comprehensive Crisis Management (CCMC) w/in 60 days of hire
  • \n
  • NIH Stroke Scale (NIH) w/in 6 months of hire
  • \n
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) w/in 1 year of hire
  • \n
  • Registered Nurse (RN) OR Temporary Practice Permit (TPP)
  • \n
  • Act 33 with renewal
  • \n
  • Act 34 with renewal
  • \n
  • Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal
  • \n
