- Create tailored treatment plans that effectively cater to both immediate goals and longer-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing needs.
- Deliver individualized speech therapy focusing on various facets like communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing.
- Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nursing staff, physicians, caregivers, and families to develop cohesive care approaches.
- Provide education to patients and families, empowering them to support recovery outside of therapy sessions.
- Contribute to inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions as needed, ensuring seamless continuity of care throughout the patient's journey.
- Maintain precise and timely documentation that adheres to all state, federal, and organizational standards.
- Engage in professional development through ongoing education and collaboration with peers in the field.
Qualifications - Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if currently in pursuit of ASHA certification.
Licenses/Certifications - Current state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
- Preference for candidates holding a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
