Description - Assess patients across pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics utilizing standardized evaluations and observational methods.
- Create individualized treatment plans addressing immediate objectives as well as long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing requirements.
- Deliver personalized speech therapy interventions concentrated on communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing.
- Work in collaboration with physical and occupational therapists, nurses, doctors, caregivers, and families to establish integrated care strategies.
- Provide education for patients and their families to promote continued development outside of clinical settings.
- Occasionally perform inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions, guaranteeing seamless care throughout the therapeutic process.
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation in compliance with state, federal, and organizational standards.
- Stay updated on advancements in the field through ongoing education and peer networking.
Education - Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification has not yet been attained.
Certifications - State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
- Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within the first 30 days of employment.
Skills - Adeptness in evidence-based treatment methodologies for all age groups, with a robust grasp of developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
- Exceptional interpersonal communication skills with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
