Job Shadow Opportunities

Kittson Healthcare Job Shadow Program is designed to provide aspiring healthcare professionals with an immersive experience in various healthcare occupations. Whether you're considering a career in nursing, medicine, allied health, or administration, our program offers valuable insights and learning opportunities. High schoolers and college student members of the community who are interested in exploring careers in the health care field are able to have the opportunity to observe Kittson Healthcare team members, lean more about the desired career choice in healthcare. The experience is supervised by a professional.

Objectives

• Gain firsthand exposure to healthcare environments.
• Learn about different roles and responsibilities within healthcare occupations.
• Observe patient care practices and interactions between healthcare professionals and patients.
• Understand the importance of teamwork and collaboration in healthcare settings.
• Ask questions, seek mentorship, and receive guidance from experienced professionals.

Observation Eligibility Requirements

• Be a minimum of 15 years old.
• Depending on the specific requirements of healthcare facilities, participants may need to provide proof of immunizations, undergo background checks, and comply with confidentiality agreements.

How To Apply

• Submit application form.
• Depending on the applicants requested department, may also be required to attend an interview or orientation session before starting the program.
• Due to staff availability, we may not always be able to provide a match. In the event we are unable to schedule a matched professional with your interest your application will be held on file for 1 year.
• If you are looking to observe more than one of the available departments, applications will be valid for 1 year, simply email HR your availability and additional requested department you would like to job shadow at hr@kmhc.net.
  
  

Job Shadow Schedule

The program duration can vary based on the participant's availability and the specific areas of interest. The department agenda will be structured around the learners desired career choice experience. Job shadows are approximately 1-2 hours long and will be 1:1 oversight with a trained professional at all times of the scheduled job shadow.
