Job Title: Pharmacist Oncology
Weekly gross pay: $3050/- (Only for traveler)
Job Descriptions:
- The Staff Pharmacist in Oncology is responsible for providing patient -centered care in a multidisciplinary practice setting with pharmacists, nurses, physicians, and other personnel.
Services provided include (but are not limited to):
- The Oncology Staff Pharmacist ensures safe and appropriate patient therapy by incorporating age-specific modifications, preventing adverse drug events, and supporting clinical interventions.
- They provide operational and educational support at the Cancer and Infusion Center, conduct research and professional development programs, and act as a liaison across departments.
- Responsibilities include supervising pharmacy staff, overseeing sterile product preparation, managing medication inventory, developing and updating policies, and collaborating with the oncology team to standardize chemotherapy ordering procedures.
Requirements
- PharmD with 5+ years acute care clinical experience
- Strong compounding and sterile preparation skills
- PGY1 Oncology Residency & BCOP certification preferred
- Skilled in specialty pharmacy medication management
- Able to work independently and supervise staff
- Proficient in pharmacy systems, automated dispensing & infusion pumps
- Experienced with laminar airflow hoods, IV room equipment, and communication tools
- Certification Requirements: BLS (AHA)
- State License Requirements Massachusetts
Additional Details :
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks to 9 months! Longer assignments are preferred.
- Shift Type: Days (Monday-Friday 7a-3.30p and/or 8ap and/or 8.30a-5p.
- Must be available for any/all shifts as needed 40hr gt)
