Pastor Job Announcement Overview Union Hill Missionary Baptist Church on Highway 126 in Cochran, GA is seeking a full time pastor. We are looking for a Pastor who will lead and teach prayerfully and compassionately, is rooted in the written Word of God, is enthusiastic about God and growing our church, and will focus on meeting our congregation’s and community’s spiritual needs. Duties Lead engaging Sunday morning, Sunday evening, and Wednesday evening meetings Lead the church in spiritual growth Perform an effective community outreach program Visit hospital, homebound, and nursing home members Lead counseling crisis sessions as needed Perform wedding and funeral ceremonies Participate in leadership meetings Qualifications Prefer bachelor’s degree in Theology, Divinity, or a related field Prefer experience in pastoral ministry or church leadership Ordination or certification by a recognized Baptist church/association Strong commitment to the faith and teachings of the denomination Possess the standards of 1 Timothy 3:2-7 and Titus 1:7-9 Pay Salary and benefits commensurate with experience.
