Job Description

This paid internship will train you to be a rock star dance instructor! Intern the fall semester of 2025 and be ready to teach on your own as soon as Jan. 2026. The internship pays $15-20/hr depending on experience and teaching pays $25-35/hr.

Qualifications:

* Studio dance training in ballet, tap, jazz, acro, and hip hop
* Experience being around young children in your community
* Strong commitment and attention to detail
* Excellent oral communication skills
* Ability to work under pressure
* Strong interpersonal skills
* Reliable transportation
* Punctuality
* Self-motivated

Responsibilities:

* Assisting with dance class instruction for students of all ages
* Insuring students are dismissed safely to their parents
* Connecting with students and meeting their emotional needs
* Welcoming students into the classroom
* Demonstrating dance skills
* Substitute Teaching

Position Purpose:

The Dance Instructor Intern assists in the studio's efforts to provide excellent dance instruction with a strong focus on the customer experience for the whole family. Interns will be trained to teach all styles and ages at the studio. Interns are given priority when professional teaching positions open in the future at our studios.
