Order Puller/Driver

Driver is responsible for transporting material in Non-DOT vehicle (ie, pickup truck or similar) to customers and picking up material from customers or vendors as needed. Follow company policies; safety and job-related procedures. Order puller is responsible for working with safety in mind at all times and looking out for co-workers in the area.

Job Description:

1. Verify load on truck to the manifest.
2. Conduct daily vehicle inspection (tires, straps, etc.)
3. Drive truck to destinations for daily route
4. Pick up material and required paperwork (BOL, etc.) at vendors when required.
5. Deliver and collect payment (if COD) for goods if required.
6. Maintain telephone contact (Bluetooth ONLY) with supervisor to receive delivery instructions.
7. Secure cargo with proper straps accordingly.
8. Pick up Customer returns when needed with applicable AMS return paperwork and ensures to fill out and apply white return label to product.
9. Excellent customer service skills/mentality required. Actively seeks customer satisfaction and opportunities for improvements to ensure profitability, success, and sustainability for the company.
10. General housekeeping in work and truck area.
11. Pull, inspect, package material, generate labels, billing and locating pick/ship ticket in designated area.
12. Records MTR's (Mill Test Reports) from computer system and print and/or email as required.
13. Fill out inventory adjustment sheets as needed and follow nonconforming product procedure.
14. Work will call counter to service customer needs (if assigned to this function)
15. Any other task deemed necessary by manager.
