Job description:

Primary Purpose:

The North Sails Office Manager is responsible for day-to-day office operations of our Sales and Service office (sail loft), as well as performing various company-wide administrative functions. The Office Manager role is vital to our customer relations and both internal and external communication. Strong administrative, computer and communication skills are a must, as well as time management and the ability to multitask in a high energy environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Customer Service
  • Answer telephones, direct calls to the appropriate person
  • Provide accurate and thorough information to callers
  • Be the face of North Sails by greeting customers and assisting with their needs
  • Assist sales team and customers throughout the sail buying process
  • Prepare sales related correspondence and documents
  • Process all payments from customers
  • Order follow up for sales team
  • Order tracking/monitoring for sales team
  • Provide sail service operational support
  • Service Order data entry, invoicing and payment transactions
  • Tag incoming sails with customer information
  • Enter service orders for customers and locate sails in the loft for customers
  • Work with Service Manager to meet customer needs
  • General office management
  • Enter and maintain sales and service records into accounting software
  • Receive and sort mail/deliveries
  • Monitor and maintain office equipment
  • Control inventory relevant to office area
  • Complete local account functions, invoice service work, accounts receivable, and accounts payable
  • Liaison between H.R. Department and individual loft
  • Regular and predictable physical presence and attendance at the worksite is required to interact with team members
  • Perform related duties or responsibilities, as assigned or requested

Qualification Requirements:

  • Ability to work independently, self-motivated and a learning mindset
  • Professional written & verbal communication skills
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Excellent computer skills and working knowledge GSuite, and ERP systems
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality in handling customers and personnel matters
  • Sailing background or comparable outdoor lifestyle is desirable
  • Must be able to lift up to 25lbs
