Overview:

Seeking an experienced Directional Drill Operator/Locator with a proven background in telecom utility construction. Candidate should have hands-on experience operating horizontal directional drilling (HDD) equipment to install fiber optic cables, conduits, and related telecom infrastructure. Must be familiar with underground utility locating, reading telecom construction plans, and following safety protocols.

Join our dynamic team that services both aerial and underground needs for local telecommunications companies. We are seeking a skilled Directional Drill Operator/Locator to work on underground utility projects, ensuring safety, precision, and quality in every job.

Key Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret construction prints.

• Assess digging areas to ensure they are properly staked/located before starting.

• Locate utilities such as electric, cable TV, telecommunications, sanitary sewer, waterlines, street lighting, and other facilities within predefined construction areas.

• Set up and operate directional drilling rigs.

• Inspect and maintain drilling equipment, check fluids, and perform necessary repairs.

• Work alongside the crew when not operating the drill.

• Maintain accurate daily work logs.

• Resolve day-to-day issues that arise during projects.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 1 year of underground construction experience (directional drilling experience).

• Valid Driver's License (CDL preferred or ability to obtain CDL).

• Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
