Our team of Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners, in collaboration with our Board-Certified Psychiatrist, offers comprehensive services including medication management, injectable treatments, Spravato nasal therapy, and substance use disorder treatment with Suboxone and Vivitrol. We serve a wide range of patient populations and age groups in a supportive, patient-centered environment.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a part-time, reliable, and detail-oriented Medical Secretary to join our team in Stroudsburg, PA. The ideal candidate will be organized, professional, and able to manage a variety of administrative and patient support tasks to help ensure the smooth daily operation of our practice.
Responsibilities:
· Greet and assist patients in a warm, professional manner
· Schedule, confirm, and manage appointments
· Answer and direct phone calls; manage messages and emails
· Maintain accurate patient records within our electronic medical record (EMR) system
· Verify insurance
· Obtain prior authorizations
· Coordinate communication between patients, providers, and external offices
· Handle correspondence, forms, and confidential documents with discretion
· Support medical staff with administrative tasks as needed
Qualifications:
· High school diploma or equivalent (associate’s degree preferred)
· Previous experience in a medical office, preferably in behavioral health or psychiatry
· Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance verification
· Proficiency with EMR systems and Microsoft Office Suite
· Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills
· Ability to always maintain confidentiality and professionalism
