We are hiring an Inventory Control Specialist to handle the daily operations of the Parts Department. This role involves maintaining a clean and organized parts room, weekly cycle counts, tracking and purchasing consumables, as well as overseeing parts coming in and going out. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring our team has the necessary parts for a quick customer turnaround. This role requires strong organizational skills, mechanical knowledge, and a commitment to customer service. This role has no direct reports.

Duties

• Maintain accurate inventory levels and minimize obsolete or excess stock and shrinkage (Parts Gatekeeper).
• Keeping an organized, clean and efficient Parts Room.
• Pull parts for the service technicians and rebuilders.
• Oversee and assist with ordering, receiving, stocking, and distribution of parts
• Responsible for shipping parts returns and tracking credits.
• Ensure proper job costing for rebuild and service operations.
• Conduct regular cycle counts and manage physical inventory.
• Stay up to date with industry trends, product changes and technology.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required and an associate degree is a plus.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with a background in HD truck or automotive service is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of truck systems and components (e.g., engines, transmissions, suspensions, brakes, electrical).
• Familiarity with inventory management software
• Strong data entry skills with attention to detail for accurate inventory control.
• Excellent organizational and customer service skills.
