Position: Inside Sales Specialist

Office Location: Houston, TX

Work Hours; Monday to Friday @8:00-17:00 (Lunch: 1 hour)

Status: Non-exempt (Over Time will be paid separately)

Annual Base Salary: $50,000 (Hourly salary: $24.00) + Overtime

Start: Immediately

90 days Temp period to a Direct Hire with all company benefits  (Temp to a Direct Hire)

Required Education: Associate's Degree or better

Required Work Experience: Inside Sales over 3 years (B2B/ Manufacturing experience)

Required Skills: Advanced knowledge in SAP or accounting software: QuickBooks/ Excel/ Peachtree/ Sage

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES  

Answers telephones, takes messages, and checks voicemail and e-mail.

Greets visitors and clients at the front door. 

Sales of the following products: Mechanical Seal; Gland Packing; Gasket 

Understanding customer needs and requirements. 

Developing sales opportunities by researching and identifying potential accounts, soliciting new accounts, and preparing quotations. 

Routing qualified opportunities to appropriate sales executives for further development and closure. 

Building and maintaining close relationships with customers. 

Attending online supplier seminars. 

Filing sales documents and quotations for others. 

Communicating with the overseas department to carry out our assignments. 

The employee may perform other related duties as necessary to meet the ongoing needs of the company.

For their Two main clients

Quote preparation 

Daily sales order and invoicing processing in Sage 

Document management 

Inventory control at Laredo and Houston, including PO issuance to PMX 

Daily shipping ASN/ Invoice, Service Parts handling/ invoice, forecast 

Laredo Warehouse - Invoice details confirmation, Over time request, any other communications needed 

Administrative roll in their Supplier.com supplier account  

QIMS - SCR/PCR change request 

VPACS - Packaging, shortage report 

Various their related surveys 

Meeting/Conf call attendance - Company introductions to new buyers, various subject to discuss with NAMCs etc 

Their remittance and accounts receivable management, including past-due collections 

All other miscellaneous things tie into their projects

Quote preparation 

Inventory control at Houston and consignment, including PO issuance to NPKM and the overseas department 

Communicate with customers and vendors 

All other miscellaneous things tie into their projects

Represent inside sales activities

Quote preparation 

Communicate closely with customers 

Necessary date update 

Communicate closely with the overseas department 

Update Access Sales activities record as daily bases 

Answer incoming calls 

Meeting/Conf call attendance 

Exhibition preparations (100% in-office) 

REQUIRED 

EDUCATION

Must have completed and achieved a high school diploma or better.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE 

Three (3) years of Inside sales experience. 

Experience with Excel functions such as Vlookup, Data consolidation, and calculation formulas. Experience with Sage or similar accounting software such as Quickbook, Peachtree, or SAP.  Experience with BOL, Packing list, and commercial invoices for export and domestic. 

Thorough knowledge of business English, spelling and punctuation. 

Thorough knowledge of office practices, procedures and equipment. 

Knowledge of departmental functions and organization. 

Skill in composition, setting up, typing accurately and with reasonable speed a variety of correspondence, reports, and other materials.

Ability to perform a variety of assignments and Inside Sales duties requiring considerable exercise of independent judgment.

Ability to meet and deal effectively with customers, associates and the general public.  

OTHERS:  

Ability to perform basic math functions including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, geometry, and trigonometry. 

Must be able to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.

Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Must be able to effectively communicate with peers and management regarding job requirements. 

Strict attention to detail is essential. 

Self-directed with excellent initiative and determination. 

This position requires punctuality, consistent attendance, and self-direction for the success of our operations.
