Job Description

Overview

Were looking for an experienced General Manager who has overall responsibility for the successful operation of the hotel and for meeting or exceeding objectives for all areas of the property. You will provide overall direction and guidance to your team while managing the day-to-day leadership and management of all company facets. This is an exempt position that reports to the Vice President of Operations. The salary range for this position is $125,000-$175,000.

What Youll Do

  • Own all areas of the operation, including front office, housekeeping, and engineering.
  • Lead through your leadership team to maximize financial performance while upholding quality standards, guest satisfaction, and colleague engagement.
  • Direct the development and execution of the annual strategic plan, the annual budget, and operations plan with a focus on balanced growth and profitability.
  • Communicate the direction and purpose of all initiatives to achieve colleague and leader ownership and desired results.
  • Achieve and maintain superior balanced scorecard results (revenue, STR, GOP, guest experience, colleague engagement, asset maintenance, etc.).
  • Inspire and motivate leaders and colleagues to foster a guest-focused, results-oriented environment.
  • Deliver best-in-class guest service by executing against the Modus Ethos through training, feedback, and incentive programs.
  • Analyze market trends and data to inform decisions and stay ahead of the competition.
  • Create and promote learning opportunities and development plans for direct reports.
  • Champion employee engagement and a collaborative, inclusive environment where input is valued.
  • Collaborate with shared services partners to maximize performance and engage with companywide initiatives.

Who You Are

  • Minimum of 5 years experience in hospitality management, with a senior leadership role (Hotel Manager or Assistant General Manager preferred) at a hotel for at least two years.
  • Track record of achieving superior results across all hotel areas and ability to articulate underlying strategies.
  • Hilton experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong financial background with sound administrative and management skills; demonstrated ability to lead.
  • A passion for hospitality with the ability to connect with colleagues and guests.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate the team, focusing on learning and development and giving/receiving feedback.
