Job Description

Pinnell’s Carpet One is seeking a full-time Flooring Sales Representative to join our professional sales team in Angels Camp, CA.

We are a family-owned business that has proudly served the Mother Lode for 50 years . Many members of our team have been with us for 10, 15, and even 20+ years , which we believe speaks to our culture, leadership, and commitment to doing right by both customers and employees.

This is not a high-pressure sales role. Success here comes from strong customer relationships, attention to detail, and guiding projects from the first conversation through completion.

Compensation & Earnings

  • Hourly base pay + commission and performance incentives
  • Typical first-year earnings range: $55,000–$75,000+ , depending on experience and performance
  • Commission structure rewards consistency, service quality, and repeat business

Training & Support

No flooring experience is required on day one. We provide ongoing training, including product knowledge, sales process coaching, and manufacturer and Carpet One training programs. Our goal is long-term success, not quick turnover.

Responsibilities

  • Greet customers and understand their needs
  • Assist customers with flooring, window coverings, and floor care selections
  • Explain product features, benefits, warranties, and pricing
  • Write and manage sales orders
  • Follow projects through completion and post-install follow-up
  • Build repeat and referral business
  • Respond to customer questions and concerns professionally
  • Receive payments and obtain credit authorizations

Qualifications

  • Customer-focused mindset with strong communication skills
  • Professional, dependable, and team-oriented
  • Willingness to learn products and systems
  • Reliable transportation (home visits may be required)
  • Retail sales or design experience is a plus, but not required
