TEKsystems is seeking a local IT Business Analyst in Anchorage, AK

This is an on-site role in Anchorage, AK. Only local candidates are eligible.

Must be authorized to work W2 for any employer in the USA without the need for sponsorship.

Must have experience with Cognos and ERP implementations.

This is a contract position with TEKsystems. long term extension and/or conversion may be likely, but not guaranteed.

Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly analytical and collaborative IT Business Analyst with deep expertise in Business Intelligence (BI) reporting tools and experience with teams implementing Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, particularly in the domains of Human Resources, Work Management, and Finance. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker and problem solver who can bridge the gap between business needs and technical solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

•\tCollaborate with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements.

•\tTranslate business needs into functional specifications and technical requirements.

•\tSupport ERP system implementation with a focus on reports for HR, Work Management, and Finance module in the Cayenta EPR system

•\tConduct gap analysis and recommend process improvement and document business processes.

•\tCreate test case scenarios for report testing and changes

•\tGenerate change requests for implementing reports in production environment using ServiceNow

•\tWork closely with developers, data engineers, and other IT teams to implement solutions.

•\tPerform data analysis and validation using SQL and other querying tools.

•\tProvide training and support to end-users on BI tools and ERP functionalities as it relates to reports.

•\tEnsure data integrity, security, and compliance with organizational standards.

Required Qualifications:

•\tBachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field.

•\t3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in IT, with a focus on BI and ERP systems.

•\tHands-on experience with Cognos, Power BI, Tableau, Spotfire, or Domino.

•\tStrong understanding of ERP systems, especially in HR, Work Management, and Finance.

•\tProficient in SQL and data querying techniques.

•\tExcellent written and verbal communication skills.

•\tStrong analytical mindset and attention to detail.

•\tProven ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

•\tExperience with ERP platforms such as SAP, Oracle, Workday, or similar.

•\tBI certification or training in one or more reporting tools.

•\tFamiliarity with Agile or Scrum methodologies.

•\tThis position is open to local candidates only.

•\tWork hours are between 7:30 – 5pm Alaska time

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $80.00/hr.

Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job
