Description

Job Summary: The Data/Performance Analyst provides value-added analyses to the leadership team by leveraging an understanding of data and existing tools and technology. Creates and maintains reports and data dashboards, develops scripts and ad-hoc queries, creates sophisticated and effective custom reports, analyzes data and staff/team performance and works with leadership team to optimize results.

Responsibilities
  • Create and prepare daily/weekly/monthly reports using various data sources, including The Workforce Information System of Texas (TWIST) and WorkInTexas.com (WIT), to measure staff and team performance.
  • Conduct in-depth, real time data analysis and trending of monthly and quarterly reports and provide recommendations to leadership team.
  • Closely monitor and report progress of ongoing performance to leadership team and make recommendations for improvements in order to optimize results and achieve targets in the most efficient and timely manner.
  • Analyze efficiency and functionality of existing reporting mechanisms and make recommendations for improvements as well as develop, implement and maintain new reports and tracking models.
  • Generate reports and dashboards from multiple sources and integrate into summary reports.
  • Ensure the accuracy, integrity and timeliness of all reporting.
  • Act as system access administrator, ensuring security and updates are provided to all staff.
  • Adhere to company confidentiality policies.
Qualifications

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Associate Degree (Bachelor Degree preferred) in Data & Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics or other quantitative discipline required along with 3 years related experience. One additional year of full-time qualifying experience may be substituted for each year (30 semester hours) of the required education.
  • Strong analytical, mathematic and PC skills (advanced Excel skills including pivot tables, advanced sorting, VLOOKUP, advanced functions, etc.) and experience managing data sources to create functional analysis and reporting.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including visual presentation of data using charts and graphs.
  • Attention to detail and ability to multi-task is an asset.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with SQL, RStudio, Python, Sybase InfoMaker or related database management systems, TWIST, and WIT.
  • Working knowledge of local, state, and federal workforce rules, regulations, and policies.
Physical Demands
  • Must be able to read, write, and communicate both verbally and in written form to express and exchange ideas.
  • While performing the responsibilities of this job, the employee must be able to access all components of work station and other office equipment.
  • Frequent typing, writing, bending and twisting.
  • Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds.
Work Environment

Includes both a typical office environment, with minimal exposure to excessive noise or adverse environmental issues, and local travel, including exposure to heat, cold, inclement weather conditions, and occasional environmental hazards.
