F2Onsite is in need of Data Center Technicians for a project located in New Albany, OH. This will be a 2-6 month contract. The technician will be responsible for executing tasks related to fiber cable handling, installation, and labeling in accordance with provided documentation and safety standards.

 

Shift: 7AM to 4PM

Monday through Friday and 7 hours on Saturday

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Inspect and clean fiber optic patch cables
• Test, troubleshoot, reterminate, and repatch fiber as needed (no splicing)
• Label both ends of fiber cables using the client-provided labeling schema
• Install pre-terminated fiber cables per cabling matrix
• Route cables using existing pathways and overhead ladder trays
• Secure and dress cables using Velcro to maintain clean, organized routing

 

Qualifications:

• Experience working with fiber optic and low-voltage cabling
• Familiarity with data center environments and cable routing best practices
• Comfortable using fiber cleaning tools, labelers, and inspection probes
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to clean, accurate installations
• Ability to follow direction from onsite lead or project supervisor
