• Service Setting: Acute Care Hospital (Primarily Outpatient Surgeries)

• Coverage Type: Scheduled + Optional On-Call

• Coverage Period: May 5, 2025 – Ongoing

• Clinical Shift Schedule:

• Monday – Friday, 6:30 AM – 2:30 PM (5x8s preferred, 4x10s considered)

• On-Call Shift Schedule: Optional

• Call Type: TBD

• Call Ratio: TBD

• Call Response Time: TBD

• Callback Rate: TBD

PATIENT INFORMATION

• Patient Volume/Census: 10-12 cases per day

• Case Mix: Ortho, General Surgery, Mostly Outpatient Surgeries

FACILITY INFORMATION

• EMR System: Cerner

• Reason for Coverage: Locums support for CRNA services

PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE

• Hospital Privileges Required: Yes

• Temporary Privileges Available: No

• Credentialing Timeline: ~60 days

• Central Line Placement and Management (optional)

• Ultrasound - Regional Blocks - Line placements

• Ventilation Management

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Licenses: Active Iowa License (Will Consider Licensing Candidates)

• Other Qualifications: Proficiency with Cerner EMR preferred

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide anesthesia care for inpatient and outpatient surgical cases

• Perform general and regional anesthesia techniques as required

• Manage ventilation and line placements as needed

• Ensure accurate documentation using Cerner EMR

• Maintain compliance with facility protocols and safety guidelines
