Bookkeeper Direct-Hire / Permanent Position

Robert Half has partnered with a valued non-profit client in their search of a new member of their accounting department. The Bookkeeper will be responsible for accounts payable invoice processing, recording cash receipts, making daily deposits, and account reconciliations. Ideal candidates will have a strong proficiency with general bookkeeping, accounts payable, and accounting software.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and process all accounts payable transactions, ensuring timely and accurate payments.
• Handle cash deposits and corporate credit card programs, maintaining proper documentation and reconciliation.
• Prepare and submit sales and use tax remittance in compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Reconcile accounts on a regular basis to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
• Conduct financial analyses to support decision-making and improve operational efficiency.
• Assist in month-end close processes, including journal entries and reporting.
• Manage payroll operations, ensuring accurate and timely processing.
• Provide administrative support to the Business Office as needed.
• Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records using bookkeeping software such as QuickBooks.
• Collaborate with team members to streamline accounting procedures and improve workflows.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles.
• Proficiency in account reconciliation and financial analysis.
• Strong knowledge of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Experience with payroll processing and month-end close activities.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
• Familiarity with QuickBooks or similar accounting software.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
