This position is located in the Healthcare Technology Management (HTM) Program at the VA Medical Center, Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Incumbent serves as a senior staff biomedical engineer at the facility. Coordinates and directs the work of technicians and interns assigned to the Healthcare Technology Management (HTM). Provides technical training, leadership, and guidance to lower graded biomedical engineering technicians and interns in the performance of HTM functions. Leads discussions, meetings, and special projects including presentations at equipment briefings and preparation of equipment recommendations and reports. Identifies problems and attempts to resolve issues in a timely manner through discussions with customers and fellow team members. Develops standardized policies and instructions relating to Biomedical Engineering to ensure adequate information is available to maintain operations and to comply with accreditation requirements.
