Job Title: Assembly Technician Location: San Diego, CA 92121 Duration: 06 months of Contract (with possible extension) Shift: 1st shift from 5:45am to 2:15pm, Monday to Friday Job Description The Assembly Technician must be able to use pallet jacks, preferably electrical pallet jacks. Operating forklifts or pallet riders is not required. The maximum lifting weight is 40 pounds. Summary of Duties and Responsibilities: Perform manual and automated packaging and labeling of skeleton kits, transport tubes, penetrable caps, and final kits according to schedules and GMP guidelines. Also perform manual and automatic filling of lysing tubes. Label tubes, kits, and components manually and semi-automatically following written instructions. Assemble kits manually, including racking, filling, and capping lysing tubes. Set up, maintain, operate, and clean packaging conveyors and labeling machines. Maintain a neat and orderly work area and equipment, ensuring proper disposal of waste and correct storage of equipment and parts. Verify quantities and stage correct packaging materials based on pick lists. Keep detailed and accurate records, including device history logs, training records, and logbooks. Work effectively within a team environment. Follow all safety rules and regulations. Work overtime as needed to meet production schedules. Perform label and line clearance procedures. Manage raw materials, rejects, returns, and finished goods within designated warehouse locations. Contribute to My CI, Quality Spots, and Safety Hazard Spotting initiatives, meeting area goals. Assist Packaging Assembler 2 in maintaining efficient production flow. Train new and temporary employees on packaging assembly responsibilities.
