Base pay range $22.00/hr - $24.00/hr Job Title: Assembly Technician Location(s): Milpitas, CA - Onsite Compensation: $22.00 – $24.00 – Nonexempt (Hourly) About This Position The Assembly Technician at Advantech is a key part of the production team, tasked with assembling PC board, Peripherals/components and cabling into chassis. This position will report to the Assembly Team Leader of Production. Responsibilities Assemble system-level products accurately and meet the daily schedule throughout the day and be willing to work overtime as required. Review work orders and BOMs against SOPs/CTOs/OEM files and report to the team leader/PE for any inconsistency. Perform visual inspections to ensure all components/parts are conformity prior to assembly. Comply with ISO procedures, be able to follow Customization to Order (CTO) files, Original Equipment Manufacturing (OEM) forms, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) to execute the assembly tasks precisely. Conduct power-on testing and thorough inspection to ensure the assembled products meet order specifications and quality standards. Support urgent orders to perform overall process including board-level and system-level assembly and basic testing tasks. Support assembly rework such as hardware upgrades and product modifications based on ECOM and/or customer requests. Collaborate and work with team members, PE teams, supervisors and managers to address assembly issues and meet quality standards. Accomplish other tasks assigned by team leaders and production management. Maintain a clean production work area and organized workstation. Qualifications High school diploma/GED or higher in a technical/scientific field; college education preferred. Relevant product-oriented certifications or computer field training. Minimum of 1 year of hands-on experience in PC hardware assembly. Other Requirements Ability to stand, walk, sit, kneel, and reach with hands and arms. Capability to lift, carry, push, and pull items up to 25 pounds. Wearing support belt and requiring colleague assistance is a must for handling heavier items over 35 lbs. Strong multitasking and time management skills. Ability to manage changing workloads and meet order schedules with high-quality results. Ability to work independently and solve problems analytically. Clear verbal and written communication skills. Willingness to travel and support offsite service if needed.
