Job Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and professional Appliance Delivery Driver & Installer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery, installation, and setup of household appliances such as refrigerators, washers, dryers, and ranges. This role requires strong customer service skills, attention to detail, and the physical capability to lift and move heavy equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
Load, transport, and deliver appliances to customer homes or businesses.
Install and set up appliances according to manufacturer specifications and safety standards.
Test appliances after installation to ensure proper functionality.
Educate customers on basic appliance use and maintenance.
Maintain accurate delivery and installation records.
Inspect vehicles and equipment before and after trips, ensuring proper maintenance and cleanliness.
Follow all traffic laws, safety procedures, and company policies.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers, warehouse staff, and customers.
Handle customer concerns professionally and escalate issues as needed.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Prior experience in appliance delivery and installation preferred.
Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and moving equipment (e.g., dollies, straps).
Physical stamina: able to lift and move up to 100 lbs.
Strong customer service and communication skills.
Basic mechanical aptitude and problem-solving ability.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Must pass a criminal background check and drug screening
Work Conditions:
Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends.
Exposure to various weather conditions during delivery.
Frequent standing, bending, lifting, and climbing stairs.
