Accounts Payable Manager The Accounts Payable Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the accounts payable process, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, payments, and vendor communications. This is a hands-on role that requires direct involvement in daily operations, process improvement, and team leadership. This position is hybrid and will pay between $65K and $75K. Responsibilities

  • Manage the end-to-end accounts payable cycle, including invoice receipt, coding, approval, and payment processing.
  • Review and process a high volume of invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
  • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Maintain strong relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders, addressing inquiries and issues promptly.
  • Supervise, train, and mentor accounts payable staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Monitor and analyze accounts payable aging reports, ensuring timely payments and minimizing overdue accounts.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities related to accounts payable.
  • Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation within the accounts payable function.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as procurement and finance, to streamline workflows and enhance efficiency.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in accounts payable, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and accounts payable best practices.
  • Proficiency with accounting software and ERP systems.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
